A denture is a removable replacement for missing teeth. It is made of acrylic plastic and closely resembles natural gum tissue and teeth.

Partial dentures fill in the spaces created by missing teeth and prevent other teeth from shifting position. A removable partial denture may have a metal framework with acrylic baked on it. It can be used to replace a single tooth or numerous teeth.
